About Us

Royal Oak Archers (ROA) was established in 1952, and is located in Oakland County, Michigan. The facilities include a clubhouse that sits on a rise overlooking Paint Creek. The club has three outdoor archery ranges, which are used for 3-D, broadhead and target shooting. The club also has a MAA field tip practice range and a broadhead practice range.

Public participation in open shoots is encouraged, and all shoots are listed on the Event Schedule page. New activities are scheduled for 2013 and allow all types of shooters to get involved. Club activities include 3D shoots, broadhead shoots, woman’s archery shoot, broadhead league and target league. Special events such as the winter chili shoot, the springtime traditional jamboree, youth shoot and the summer fathers day shoot give archers an opportunity to enjoy the sport year round. Crossbows have been approved for use at Royal Oak Archers. Please contact the President or current shoot coordinator for details.

ROA invites interested archers to become members. A family membership is available and allows full use of the clubhouse and all the club facilities as well as discounts for all shoots. Club membership is work based and a modest yearly membership fee is charged. See Join Now for more details. ROA is proud to be affiliated with Sportsman Against Hunger and supports our troops abroad through the Michigan Longbow Association. ROA is a member of the Michigan Tri-County Archery Association.
